How to make hearty pizza at home

Pizza is deservedly considered a masterpiece of Italian cuisine, but you can please yourself with the incomparable taste of this dish not only in a pizzeria.

Even a novice chef can cook a favorite treat at home. Especially if it’s not Italian or Hawaiian, but real home-made pizza from our selection!

Delicious Homemade Pizza

It is believed that for not too experienced housewives, the biggest problem in making pizza is the dough. Therefore, many try to buy ready-made dough in the store.

We will do it ourselves. And since the dough in all recipes forms the basis of pizza, we give 2 options for its preparation.

Homemade Pizza Dough

  • 580 g flour
  • 400 ml of water
  • 35 g fresh yeast
  • 4 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Sahara


  1. Dilute the yeast in the water.
  2. Pour yeast water into a bowl of a bread machine or bowl.
  3. Add vegetable oil, salt and sugar.
  4. Add flour to the bowl.
  5. Start kneading the dough.
  6. In the bread machine, select the mode of kneading the dough for pizza or any other mode of kneading the yeast dough.
  7. At first the dough turns out to be very soft, but over time it becomes less sticky and more dense.
  8. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth, then leave to ferment for 1 hour and at least double the volume.
  9. Put the finished dough on the desktop, sprinkled with flour.
  10. Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each into a ball.
  11. Roll the ball into a cake and place it on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
  12. Send the cake to the oven, preheated to 220 degrees. Bake for 5-6 minutes.
  13. During this time, the cake will be baked, but it will still be pale.
  14. Take the cake out of the oven.
  15. If you are preparing a base for pizza, let it cool, wrap it in plastic and put it in the freezer for storage.

    If you decide to cook pizza immediately, then put a little sauce on the cake and smooth it over the entire surface. Then put the filling and return the pizza to the oven until cooked.

Delicious Pizza Dough

  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1.5 tbsp. flour
  • 150 ml of warm water
  • 0.5 tsp Sahara
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil


  1. Stir sugar in water, add yeast and put in a warm place for 10 minutes.
  2. Add salt, oil, prepared yeast to the sifted flour.
  3. Knead the dough, form a kolobok, put in a bowl, cover with a film and put in a warm place for 1 hour (the dough should be doubled in volume).
  4. Then knead again, divide into 2 parts and roll out the circles.
  5. It remains to add the filling and you can bake.

If you, like me, do not like to bother with yeast dough for a long time, and want to enjoy delicious home-made pizza, be sure to use this recipe. Dough "Fast" is prepared without yeast.

Pizza "Wonderful"

  • 6 sausages
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 200 g hard cheese
  • 2 processed cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • mayonnaise, parsley to taste


  1. Lubricate the dough blank with tomato paste or ketchup.
  2. Sprinkle with onions, put slices of sausages, peppers, processed cheeses. Apply a grid of mayonnaise.
  3. Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
  4. Then put mugs of tomato on the pizza, sprinkle with parsley and grated cheese.
  5. Bake pizza for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot. Enjoy your meal!

Home-made pizza

  • 200 g of mushrooms
  • 200 g hard cheese
  • 150 g soft cheese
  • 250 g ham or smoked sausages
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3-4 tbsp. l ketchup
  • fresh pepper, pickles, corn to taste
  • mayonnaise to taste
  • fresh herbs for decoration


  1. Lay the pizza base on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  2. Beautifully wrap the edges of the future pizza.
  3. Lubricate the workpiece with ketchup (mayonnaise, sauce).
  4. Cut the onion rings, mushrooms into plates, sausages into cubes, tomatoes in circles.
  5. Lay out the filling in layers: sausages, mushrooms, onion rings, tomatoes, some corn, grated cheese.
  6. Bake pizza for 20-30 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.
  7. Home-made pizza ready. Cut it into portions, garnish with fresh herbs and serve.

Rustic pizza

  • 250 g of cottage cheese
  • 100 g green onions
  • 250 g chicken
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 tbsp. l decoys
  • salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Finely chop the greens, mix with cottage cheese, add salt and pepper.
  2. Take the chicken fillet into fibers.
  3. Grated cheese.
  4. Sprinkle a circle of dough with semolina, this is necessary so that the dough does not get wet.
  5. Spread the cottage cheese on the surface of the dough, then filet and hard cheese.
  6. Bake pizza for 20–25 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees until golden brown.

Pizza "Favorite"

  • 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • 300 g minced chicken
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 200 g hard cheese
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil


  1. Potato mince, not very frying, in a pan.
  2. Lubricate the preparation with tomato paste, sprinkle with chopped onions, put the minced meat, slices of bell pepper, greens, salt, pepper.
  3. Put in the oven preheated to 220 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Put slices of feta cheese on a pizza, mugs of tomatoes, sprinkle everything with grated hard cheese and peki for another 5 minutes.
  5. Enjoy your meal!

Pepperoni Pizza

  • 200 g of smoked sausage
  • 250 g mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can of tomatoes in own juice
  • 1 chilli
  • 2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • dried basil, salt, sugar to taste

Sauce Ingredients

  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • basil and oregano to taste
  • olive oil for frying


  1. Make the sauce. To do this, pour the tomatoes for 15 minutes with boiling water. Then peel them off. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

    Fry for 3 minutes in olive oil. Add tomatoes to the onion and garlic. Carcasses over medium heat until liquid evaporates. Add salt and spices.

  2. Cut the sausage into thin slices, and the mozzarella into slices.
  3. Transfer the pizza blank to a baking sheet sprinkled with flour. Brush the cooked sauce.
  4. Put mozzarella and sausage. Bake for 25 minutes at 220 degrees.
  5. Pepperoni pizza with sausage ready. Enjoy your meal!

Making homemade pizza is an excellent occasion for a theme party where everyone can show off their signature pizza option, or a children's workshop, where little chefs will make their first culinary feat.
